With 2025 almost upon us, and another year of the early 2000s becoming old enough to be considered “vintage”, we’ve decided to take a step back in time.
Before the internet took over and when CD sales were at an all time high, the turn of the millennium was full of promise after Y2K failed to make the world end.
It was also a prime period for pop music as bands from Westlife to All Saints took over the charts, with artists including Craig David, Billie Piper and Britney Spears also releasing various number 1 hits.
With more than two decades between then and now, here are 25 songs turning 25 years old in 2025.
13. Bye Bye Bye by NSYNC

16. Weapon of Choice by Fatboy Slim featuring Bootsy Collins
In 2000, Fatboy Slim released his third album Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars which included fan favourite track, Weapon of Choice. While the single wasn’t released until 2001, the music video for the song was directed by Spike Jonze and features Christopher Walken dancing around a deserted hotel lobby. | Universal Images Group via Getty
