Various historic vessels were seen during filming in Scotland last year, with some of the Greek-style ships spotted off the Moray Coast and at Buckie Harbour. Filming also took place at Findlater Castle.
As is typical for Nolan’s films, the director has recruited even more stars to The Odyssey cast including John Leguizamo as Odysseus’s servant and companion Eumaeus, Jon Bernthal as Greek king of Sparta Menelaus, Zendaya as the goddess Athena, Benny Safdie as Agamemnon, Himesh Patel as Odysseus' second-in-command Eurylochus, Mia Goth as Melantho, and Jimmy Gonzales as Cepheus.
Lupita Nyong'o and Will Yun Lee are also among those who have boarded the film, as have Elliot Page, Jovan Adepo, Samantha Morton, Ryan Hurst and Travis Scott.
In addition to the human cast members, the new clip also finally reveals some of the gods and monsters who shape The Odyssey including the Cyclops.
The film makes history as the first narrative feature to be shot entirely with IMAX cameras, with Nolan revealing that he used more than 2 million feet of film while shooting.
The Odyssey will be in cinemas from July 17.
