Outlander season eight will pick up where the previous series left off, with Claire and Jamie having returned to Fraser’s Ridge, which has become a thriving settlement in their absence.
The couple soon discover that the war has followed them home, leaving the Frasers to question exactly what they will sacrifice to remain there - and to stay together.

Their united front against outsiders comes under pressure when family secrets finally come to light, with a prophecy predicting Jamie’s death looming over them.
It is based, in part, on Gabaldon's novel, Go Tell The Bees That I'm Gone, however fans have been warned that the book and the show will vary greatly, with the ending of the book series unlikely to resemble the show.
