Awards season in now well underway, with The Brutalist and Emilia Perez the big winners at the Golden Globes earlier this month.
All eyes are now on the BAFTA Film Awards in February, before the Oscars are presented on March 3.
Most of the films that will be celebrated came out last year - with a few notable exceptions like the aforementioned The Brutalist and A Complete Unknown still to reach British screens.
But the cinema schedule is packed solid with plenty of other films in the coming months - all vying to be this year’s big blockbuster.
Here are 11 we’re particularly looking forward to.

9. F1
It seemed like director Joseph Kosinsky had singe-handedly saved Hollywood (with a little help from Tom Cruise) with the billion-dollar success of 'Top Gun: Maverick' a couple of years ago. Now he's tackling F1, which has never been hotter thanks to documentary 'Drive to Survive', with Brad Pitt starring. It's ben produced by a certain Lewis Hamilton, so expect realistic track action galore. | Contributed

10. Nobody 2
Bob Odenkirk's revenge movie 'Nobody' was a surprise hit in 2021, so there's no surprise that there's a sequel out this year. Odenkirk is back as the middle-age man with a surprising set of skills, with Connie Nielsen, RZA, Christopher Lloyd and Michael Ironside all returning too. Let's hope it's as good as the second John Wick. | Contributed

11. The Running Man
Another film that was shot on the streets of Glasgow (it's hard to head into town without stumbling across a camera crew these days), Edgar Wright's remake of 1980s Arnold Schwarzenegger action classic 'The Running Man' will be out in November. Glen Powell takes over the main role as man taking part in a killer reality television game show, based on a short story by Stephen King (under his Richard Bachman pen name). | Contributed
