Awards season in now well underway, with The Brutalist and Emilia Perez the big winners at the Golden Globes earlier this month.
All eyes are now on the BAFTA Film Awards in February, before the Oscars are presented on March 3.
Most of the films that will be celebrated came out last year - with a few notable exceptions like the aforementioned The Brutalist and A Complete Unknown still to reach British screens.
But the cinema schedule is packed solid with plenty of other films in the coming months - all vying to be this year’s big blockbuster.
Here are 11 we’re particularly looking forward to.

5. Mickey 17
Bong Joon-Ho's follow-up to Parasite, the first foreign-language film to win best picture Oscar, has been a long time coming - six years to be exact. Now he's back with 'Mickey 17' starring Robert Pattinson as a man who signs up to be an 'expendable' - killed and regenerated repeatedly as part of a space colonization project. | Contributed

6. Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning
The Mission Impossible films have provided some of the most memorable - and extreme - action films of the past couple of decades. Now it's coming to an end (maybe?) with the eighth in the franchaise. We're waiting to see what insane stunts Tom Cruise decides to do himself. | Contributed

7. Elio
It's always exciting to see a new Pixar film on the release roster for the coming year - and their latest animated masterpiece looks like a real treat. It sees an 11-year-old boy accidentally becoming the intergalactic ambassador for Earth after being beamed up by aliens. Sounds like fun. | Contributed

8. 28 Years Later
Danny Boyle is teaming up with writer Alex Garland for the third part of their dystopian saga that sees the world hit by the 'Rage' virus, turning the infected (don't call them zombies) into killing machines. Cillian Murphy is back, joined by Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Ralph Fiennes in a seriously heavyweight cast. | Contributed
