Stranger Things season 5: how long are the episodes in volume 2? Netflix runtimes revealed

Father Christmas is preparing to deliver a new batch of episodes of Stranger Things. He has loaded up his sack and will be slipping them onto Netflix very soon.

The first part landed on the streaming service at the end of November but the wait is almost over for more. Three more episodes are due over Christmas, with the last one arriving over the New Year.

But just how long will the next set of episodes be? Netflix has finally confirmed the runtimes.

When is Stranger Things season 5 volume 2 out?

The next batch of episodes will be delivered onto the streaming service over Christmas. For viewers in America, volume two will arrive on the evening of December 25.

However, due to differences in time zones, the episodes will not arrive until the early hours of Boxing Day in the UK and Europe.

How long are the episodes in Stranger Things volume 2?

Unlike the first release, just three episodes will be available on Netflix from December 25/ 26. It does leave just one last instalment for fans to wait for.

Just days before volume 2 is due to arrive, the streaming service has confirmed the lengths for the episodes. It includes:

• Chapter Five: Shock Jock – 1 hour and 8 minutes
• Chapter Six: Escape From Camazotz – 1 hour and 15 minutes
• Chapter Seven: The Bridge – 1 hour and 6 minutes

How long is the Stranger Things season 5 finale?

In a rare move, Netflix is set to release the last ever episode of its iconic blockbuster sci-fi series in cinemas - in the US and Canada at least. Unfortunately, viewers in the UK look set to miss out on the opportunity to see it on the big screen.

The cinema listing showed the runtime for the finale at over two and a half hours, however, that does include credits and previews. Netflix has since confirmed that the last ever episode will have a runtime of 2 hours 5 minutes - making it the second longest in the show’s history.

Stranger Things’ season four conclusion ‘The Piggyback’ remains the longest at two hours 22 minutes.
