Dates of the five Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo flypasts this August including the Red Arrows
There are five scheduled flyovers - including the Red arrows - for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2026.
The world-famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo - held on the Edinburgh Castle Esplanade - will begin this Friday 7 August and run until Saturday 29 August.
Acts for the 2026 Show - A Call to Gather - include The German Army Band Koblenz, New Zealand Army Band, the Qatar Police Academy Band and Drill Team, and the United States Army Field Band.
They will be joined by military bands, with Royal Air Force Musicians taking centre stage as part of this year’s Lead Service, alongside fan favourites such as the Massed Pipes and Drums, Lone Piper and the Tattoo Performers showcasing the best of Scottish Traditional Arts.
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo writes: “Goosebumps await as you experience a spectacular show rooted in Scottish identity, where the gathering of clans becomes a gathering of nations, allies, friends and kindred spirits.

“This production pushes the boundaries of what the Tattoo can be while celebrating everything audiences know and love: feel the thunderous Massed Pipes and Drums, toe-tap to the Highland Dancers and witness an extraordinary international cast.”
