Glasgow Summer Sessions 2026 Transport: Subway set to stay open until 1am on concert days

There’s good news for those going to the huge concerts at Bellahouston Park.
It’s going to be easier to travel home from Glasgow’s Summer Sessions series of music gigs this year - with the Glasgow Subway set to open until 1am on concert days.
The concerts take place at the city’s Bellahouston Park, which is just 15 minutes walk from Ibrox Subway Station, with the first taking place tomorrow (Saturday, June 26).
Meanwhile fans getting the train home can get services from Dumbreck up until 12.16am.
The subway will open until 1am on the following dates:
- June 27: State Fayre presents The Lumineers, The Proclaimers, Dylan Gossett, KT Tunstall, and Avery Anna
- June 28: Teddy Swims
- June 30: Alanis Morissette
- July 1: Pitbull
- July 3: Kings of Leon
- July 4: My Chemical Romance (Long Live The Black Parade Tour)
Stephen O’Neill, Event Manager for Glasgow Summer Sessions, said: "We're pleased to be working with our partners to make getting home after Glasgow Summer Sessions as easy as possible. Having the Subway running until 1am and a train back to the city centre just after midnight on event nights gives fans additional travel options and allows them to enjoy the full event experience with confidence and peace of mind.
“We’re really grateful to Strathclyde Partnership for Transport and Scotrail for arranging this and for making the Glasgow Summer Sessions experience that bit smoother for ticket holders, and for providing sustainable travel options."
