It’s set to be a memorable gig for one of Scotland’s most beloved bands.
Led by husband-and-wife team Ricky Ross and Lorraine McIntosh, Deacon Blue formed back in 1985 and found fame with 1987 debut album Raintown, which spawned the singles Dignity, Loaded, When Will You (Make My Telephone Ring) and Chocolate Girl.
Even bigger success followed two years later with second album When the World Knows Your Name hitting the top of the UK charts and Real Gone Kid becoming their biggest single.
The band disbanded in 1994 but were back together by 1999 and have to date released 11 studio albums, most recently last year’s The Great Western Road.
Along the way they have sold more than seven million records, including 12 UK top 10 singles.
