The Tom Cambpell Trio brings together three musicians from various parts of the Highlands & Islands, who have honed their craft via respected institutions including Feis Rois, Plockton Music School and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Past nominees for BBC Folk Awards and winners of the Battle Of The Folk Bands, they comprise percussionist Callum Convoy, multi-instrumentalist Gillie O'Flaherty and the band’s titular founder on flute, whistle, pipes and bodhran.

At the beginning of this year they sold out the Strathclyde Suite at Celtic Connections, cementing their reputation as one of the most exciting prospects on the trad scene. This was further enhanced with two of their tracks being synced for the Apple TV animated series My Brother the Minotaur, featuring the voices of Brian Cox, Michael Sheen and Paul Kaye, not to mention a slot at leading showcase event, FOCUS Wales.

The Tom Campbell trio are one of eight acts selected for Made In Scotland Gigs, which takes place in Edinburgh’s Cowgate on 17 August and is hosted by Olaf’s Wide Days convention in partnership with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society. This is their last scheduled Scottish show before an autumn tour of Ireland, see https://linktr.ee/tomcampbelltrio
