Originally from the USA, Myshkin is an award-winning songwriter and multimedia artist who’s enjoyed an illustrious career over the past couple of decades. Releasing 11 critically acclaimed albums spanning folk, jazz, and anti-pop genres, she’s well-known for political bite and genre-defying experimentation.

Her band Myshkin’s Ruby Warblers evolved through collaborations with world-class musicians, earned praise from The Village Voice and BBC Radio Scotland and won the New Orleans Music Industry Award for Best Folk Album.

At their peak, the band performed over 300 gigs per year, including appearances at Vancouver Folk Festival, Pickathon, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Brooklyn Americana Fest and Joshua Tree Music Festival.

Her album Trust and the High Wire describes the extraordinary story of meeting her future wife – artist, herbalist, entrepreneur and later cellist Jenny Q, whose near-fatal illness reshaped their creative lives.

Now based in the Scottish Highlands, thanks to a prestigious Global Talent Visa, Myshkin and Jenny Q are preparing to tour their new album Hot Night in Paris early next year, see https://myshkinsrubywarblers.com/

Olaf Furniss and Derick Mackinnon run music industry seminar and social night Born To Be Wide, see www.borntobewide.co.uk
