The Royal Highland Show 2026 kicked off in style on Thursday, June 18.
Thousands of attendees descended on the Royal Highland Centre for the return of the annual event.
Now in its 240th edition, The Royal Highland Show runs from Thursday, June 18 until Sunday, June 21.
With plenty of food and drink vendors as well as the famous animal parades and competitions, there was plenty to take in on day one of the big event.
The first day also saw an appearance from First Minister John Swinney, who used the event to pledge his promise to protect farmers amid a push to cap prices on food staples for households.
While the annual event continues, we take a look back at some of the highlights of day one of the Royal Highland Show 2026.
