Whether you plan on Island Hopping in the Inner and Outer Hebrides, looking out for the Northern Lights, travelling the North Coast 500 trail, or having a campervan adventure – Scotland has so much to offer for a holiday.
Here are some ideas to get you started.

5. Loch Lomond
Found less than an hour's drive north of Glasgow, Loch Lomond & the Trossach National Park is the perfect place for lovers of the great outdoors. Here you can hike among the natural beauty, enjoy thrilling watersports, try a spot of pony trekking, boat trips, or camp along the loch's shore. Photo: Jeff J Mitchell

6. See the Northern Lights
The Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, is a wonder which can be seen in certain places across Scotland. You're more likely to see the "Mirrie Dancers" the further north you go, so best bets are places like Shetland and Orkney, Aberdeenshire, the Outer Hebrides, Cairngorms, and Inverness.
