World No 1 Nelly Korda hands ISPS HANDA Women's Scottish Open huge boost
In-form American joins defending champion Lottie Woad in field for Dundonald Links event
World No 1 Nelly Korda has handed the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open a huge boost by confirming she will be teeing up in the 2026 edition at Dundonald Links.
The American, who made her debut in the LET/LPGA co-sanctioned event last year at the Ayrshire venue, is back dominating the women’s game.
She’s won three times already this year, including a third major victory in the Chevron Championship in Texas in April, and also finished second on three occasions.

Korda, a real crowd-puller, has added the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open to her schedule as part of her preparation for the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Lytham the following week.
“I am really looking forward to returning to Dundonald Links for the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open,” said the 27-year-old, who has already chalked up a total of 18 LPGA Tour wins. “I really enjoyed my time there last year.
“With the lovely onsite accommodation, the fantastic links course, the welcoming Scottish crowds and getting to compete against a world-class field, I think it is the perfect preparation for Royal Lytham.”
Korda’s rivals at Dundonald Links on 23-26 July will include defending champion Lottie Woad and world No 7 Charley Hull.
Gemma Dryburgh, a three-time winner of the Jock MacVicar Leading Scot award, will also be in the star-studded line up.
The Scottish Government and VisitScotland recently announced a new funding agreement for the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open, providing investment to help support the growth and profile of the tournament over the next three years through to 2028.
Last year’s event attracted a record 11,000 spectators across the week, with the 2006 edition being the only LPGA Tour event staged in Scotland this year.
