Scottish rugby unveil away kit for 2026/27 season with 'powerful contrast' to home offering

Latest Macron offering released following Nations Championship Summer Tests.

Scottish rugby have unveiled the new away kit to be worn by the men’s and women’s international teams during the 2026/27 season.

The latest offering from Italian manufactures Macron comes just weeks after the unveiling of the home strip, which debuted as Gregor Townsend’s side beat Fiji at Murrayfield in their third and final Nations Championship Test of the Summer last weekend. The away kit is indented to follow a theme of ‘ice’.

The white kit is embellished with Scotland’s wild mountain terrain, a nod to its 282 Munros and thousands of lesser peaks that run from the south-west of Stranraer to the Shetland Islands and all the rugged land between. With white shorts and socks a further bow to the notion of ‘ice’, Scotland’s international away kit is rugged and robust, like the country it represents.

Scottish Rugby’s Head of Retail and Licensing David Salisbury commented on the new kit, saying: “We wanted this season's campaign to feel completely cohesive, and the away kit provides the perfect, powerful contrast to the home jersey. Through our close partnership with Macron, we’ve successfully merged a bold national narrative with cutting-edge fabric technology, using the light blue detailing to seamlessly connect this 'ice' aesthetic back to our broader season palette. The result is a premium, world-class product engineered for our teams and built to inspire our fans.”

On the chest, 3D Thermoplastic application Macron Hero logo appears on the right, and a new application of the Scottish Rugby crest on the left. Inside the jersey, the Macron logo is accompanied by the wording “Designed in Bologna”, highlighting that every garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus in Italy.

Ross Cook, Macron’s Senior Technical Sponsorship Manager, added: “Our design philosophy, known as ‘Fashion in Sport,’ represents Macron’s vision of modern sportswear: a creative process in which performance and cultural identity come together to transform the match kit into a true expression of style. In this context, we pay close attention to consistency across the Game Sets, and the way the Scottish Rugby’s Away kit complements the Home kit is a perfect example of this approach.”
