Scotland set for Six Nations first as 2027 fixture schedule confirmed
Murrayfield set for break from tradition
Murrayfield will host its first ever Friday night Six Nations match next year following confirmation of the fixture schedule for the 2027 championship.
Scotland will welcome Ireland in round four of the tournament on Friday, March 5, with the 8.10pm kick-off marking a significant departure from the usual weekend slots in Edinburgh.
Gregor Townsend's side start their campaign at home on Saturday, February 6, against Italy at 2.10pm before hosting Wales the following weekend on Saturday, February 13 in a 4.40pm kick-off.

The Scots then travel to Paris for a Sunday showdown with France on February 21, kick-off 3.10pm, before the championship takes a break with a free weekend.
After the historic Friday night clash with Ireland in round four, the campaign concludes on Super Saturday, March 13, with the oldest rivalry in rugby: a trip to the Allianz Stadium to battle England for the Calcutta Cup in a 4.40pm kick-off.
