Scotland had to dig deep to secure a bonus point win against Fiji at Murrayfield as the replacements made all the difference in the second half.
Gregor Townsend’s side trailed 17-7 at half time but the introduction of key players like Sione Tuipulotu, Pierre Schoeman and Jamie Dobie from the bench helped them claw it back and ultimately win the Test reasonably comfortably. For long periods though, it was anything but and many of the players who featured in the first half failed to make the grade.
Here are our player ratings from Scotland’s Nations Championship win over the Flying Fijians at Murrayfield:

5. Max Williamson - 4
Line out functioned fine but overall made little impact during his 47 minutes. | SNS Group / SRU

6. Josh Bayliss - 7
Work rate off the chart and grew into the game. Unlucky not to get a try but all round a positive afternoon. | SNS Group / SRU

7. Freddy Douglas - 5
First start for the 21-year-old with big shoes to fill in the seven jersey. Didn't stand out as much as Rory Darge usually does but went about his business steadily. | SNS Group

8. Gregor Brown - 5
Shift to number eight didn't work out as Scotland missed a bit more of a carrying threat at the back of the scrum against a hefty Fijian opposition. | SNS Group / SRU
