Glasgow Warriors unbeaten run ends as Scotland fringe man makes case for Six Nations selection
Warriors slip to last-gasp defeat in Galway
Glasgow Warriors missed the chance to extend their lead at the top of the United Rugby Championship after falling to a dramatic late defeat at Connacht on Saturday.
The concession of two late tries, including one in the final play of the game, saw Warriors go down 15-10 at the Dexcom Stadium to suffer their first loss in 10 matches.
A second-half double from Kyle Rowe had put Glasgow in the driving seat with the Scotland winger making a case for inclusion in Gregor Townsend's matchday squad to face France in the Six Nations at Murrayfield next Saturday with two brilliant finishes.

But Warriors were unable to hold on with Sean Jansen's stoppage-time try sealing a last-gasp victory for Connacht after Josh Murphy's try pulled the hosts level with six minutes left.
With a strong wind making for difficult playing conditions, defences were on top in the opening hour with the only points being a penalty from Connacht’s Sam Gilbert.
The game swung Glasgow’s way after 58 minutes when home second-row forward Joe Joyce was sent to the sin bin for a high tackle on Ben Afshar.
Glasgow made the most of their numerical advantage three minutes later as Rowe collected Dan Lancaster’s pass out wide but still had plenty to do as he cut inside and held off two tacklers to dot down.
Rowe scampered over again seven minutes later after collecting Lancaster’s kick on the 10-metre line and leaving home defenders in his wake with a combination of pace and skill to cross the whitewash for a 10-3 lead. The winger, who can also play full-back, was named in Scotland’s initial 40-man squad for the Six Nations but has yet to feature. This display will have given Townsend food for thought.
Adam Hastings missed both conversions and Connacht levelled matters six minutes from time when Gilbert converted Murphy’s try, which was controversially awarded despite a TMO check failing to find conclusive evidence whether the ball had been grounded, leaving referee Ben Breakspear to stick with his on-field decision to award the try.
The Irish province kept alive their hopes of a top-eight finish when a line-out maul crashed over the Glasgow line with Jansen getting the ball down as the clock ticked beyond the 80-minute mark.
The result means Warriors remain four points clear of second-placed Leinster, who lost 8-7 at Cardiff on Friday.
