Last year saw world number one Jannik Sinner win his first title, preventing Carlos Alcaraz taking home the men’s singles title for a third consecutive year by beating the Spaniard in four sets in the final.

Meanwhile Iga Swiatek beat Amanda Anisimova in the women’s singles final to become the first Polish Wimbledon singles champion in the open era.

They’re both back to defend their titles, along with Novak Djokovic, who will be looking to add a record 25th grand slam trophy to his groaning mantelpiece.

There will then be more women’s singles action with sixth seed Amanda Anisimova playing Madison Keys in an all-American match, before Grigor Dimitrov takes on Matteo Berrettini in the men’s singles.
