Today at Wimbledon 2026: Prize money, Friday order of play, tournament schedule, odds, how to watch on TV - when is Novak Djokovic playing?

It’s day five of competition at SW19 and it’s the start of the third round singles matches.

Played on grass at London’s All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, in London, this year’s Wimbledon tournament is the 139th time it has taken place (and the 132nd time the ladies’ singles has been played).

Last year saw world number one Jannik Sinner win his first title, preventing Carlos Alcaraz taking home the men’s singles title for a third consecutive year by beating the Spaniard in four sets in the final.

Meanwhile Iga Swiatek beat Amanda Anisimova in the women’s singles final to become the first Polish Wimbledon singles champion in the open era.

They’re both back to defend their titles, along with Novak Djokovic, who will be looking to add a record 25th grand slam trophy to his groaning mantelpiece.

But there will not be a repeat of last year’s men’s singles final as Carloz Alcaraz has withdrawn due to a wrist injury - with Britain’s Emma Raducanu another high-profile name who will not be playing due to health concerns.

Britain’s best hope was Cameron Norrie, who was seeded 26th in the draw, but sadly he went out in the first round on Monday which ended up being a terrible day for British players with 10 falling at the first hurdle. Jack Draper withdrawing due to injury only rubbed salt into the wound.

And yesterday saw Scotland’s Jacob Fearnley crash out in the second round against Spanish player Jaume Munar.

Most of the seeds have enjoyed safe passage so far although there have been upsets, with men’s fourth seed Ben Shelton and women’s fifth seed Mirra Andreeva the biggest casualties so far - while Serena Williams’ highly-anticipated comeback failed to make it beyond the first round.

Here’s everything you need to know about today’s play on Friday, July 3.
