More than 10,000 of the word’s greatest athletes are bound for France to take part in this year’s Summer Olympics - taking place from July 26-August 11.
They’ll be competing in a total of 329 events across 32 sports, including breakdancing which is making its games debut.
In the last Olympics Scottish athletes won 16 of Team GB’s 65 medals, with Duncan Scott, Katie Archibald, Kathleen Dawson, Jack Carlin, Angus Groom, Harry Leask, Neah Evans, Laura Muir, Anna Burnet, Sarah Robertson, and Josh Kerr all taking podium places.
That included three gold medals - for Duncan Scott in the 4x200m freestyle relay, Katie Archibald in the women’s madison, and Kathleen Dawson in the mixed 4x100 metre medley relay.
Sadly Archibald has had to pull out due to an injury caused by a freak accident.
Here are 11 of Scotland’s best medal hopes that are making it to the Games.

9. Beth Potter
Hailing from Bearsden, Beth Potter could provide one of the more remarkable story of this year's Olympics. She previously represented Team GB in the 10,000 metres at the Rio Olympics but since then has switched disciplines to triathlon. It seems to have been a good idea - she became triathlon world champion last year and has already won a test event around the Paris course. She's favourite to take gold. | Getty Images

10. Seonaid McIntosh
Edinburgh's Seonaid McIntosh is Britain's most successful female rifle shooter of all time, having won five World Cup medals and current world number one in the 10m air rifle. She had a disappointing Tokyo Games, failing to qualify for the final of her event, but will be hoping for a better performance in Paris. | Getty Images

11. Andy Murray
He couldn't could he? Andy Murray has won the gold medal for the men's singles twice - in 2012 and 2016. He'll be a huge long shot to make it a hat-trick in his last tournament before retiring - but what a story it would be if he did! | Getty Images
