Darts players are amongst the wealthiest sporting stars on the planet - just winning this year’s World Championship title earns you a hefty million quid.
It’s a sport which has seen prize money soar in recent years thanks to television and sponsorship deals, with darters’ earnings dwarfing those of previous legends of the game such as Eric Bristow and Jocky Wilson.
Last year saw Luke Humphries come close to becoming the first player to win more than £2 million in a single season, while current world number one Luke Littler is already a millionaire despite having only played professionally for a couple of years.
It is certainly a golden age for the bank balance of professional darts players - with prize money continuing and thousands of spectators packing into arenas most weeks to enjoy the sport (and a couple of beers).
And the prospect of the rivalry between Lukes Littler and Humphries looks likely to enthral fans for years to come.
They both appear in this - the list of the 17 highest earning darters of all time.

9. Adrian Lewis - £3.6 million
Two time PDC World Champion Adrian Lewis has had a sparkling career which also includes European Championship and UK Open crowns - as well as four World Cup of Darts titles. He's amassed prize money of around £3.6 million. | Getty Images

10. Luke Humphries - £3.5 million
It shows how much money is now in the game that relative newcomer Luke Humphries is in ninth place, with earnings of around £3.5 million. He may have failed to defend his World Championship title last year after crashing out to Peter Wright - losing the chance to become the first player to earn more than £2 million in a single season - but he's back this year and is one of the favourites (after a certain L. Littler). He's been in the sport for less than six years, so there's every chance he'll end up pretty high on this list. | Getty Images

11. Rob Cross - £3.4 million
English darter Rob Cross is currently world number 17 but has been as high as number two in 2018-19. The Voltage was PDC World Champion, defeating Phil Taylor in the final, and has won a total of 21 PDC titles, banking around £3.4 million. | Getty Images

12. Dave Chisnall - 3.1 million
He may have never ranked higher than world number five, but longevity and consistency have amassed English darter Dave 'Chizzy' Chisnall a fortune of around £3.1 million. He has won 26 ranking PDC titles. | Getty Images
