After 11 days of sporting excellence the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games came to an end last night (Sunday, August 3) with a spectacular Closing Ceremony.
Last time the city held the event in 2014 it was hailed by many as the best Games ever.
This year it was scaled back somewhat after Glasgow stepped in at the last minute when Victoria in Australia abandoned plans to host due to spiraling costs.
But there was still been plenty to enjoy, with around 3,000 athletes from 74 nations competing across 10 different sports, from boxing to swimming.
Scottish athletes saw plenty of success, winning 39 medals and finishing fifth in the medal table, beaten only by Australia, England, Canada and India,
The Closing Ceremony saw an array of stars perform, including Sandy Thom, Simple Minds and Delta Goodrem, and handed the Games over to India with a colourful segment programmed by the new hosts from the city of Ahmedabad.
Here are 29 photos from the ceremony.
