Darts players are amongst the wealthiest sporting stars on the planet - just winning the World Championship title earlier this year earned Luke Littler a hefty million quid.
Despite only getting his PDC tour card in 2024 Littler is now a multimillionaire, thanks to the huge popularity of the sport.
That popularity has seen prize money soar in recent years thanks to television and sponsorship deals, with darters’ earnings dwarfing those of previous legends of the game such as Eric Bristow and Jocky Wilson.
It is certainly a golden age for the bank balance of professional darts players - with prize money continuing and thousands of spectators packing into arenas most weeks to enjoy the sport (and a couple of beers).
And the prospect of the rivalry between Luke Littler and Luke Humphries - along with World Championship finalist Gian van Veen - looks likely to enthral fans for years to come.
This week sees the finals night of the Premier League Darts at the 02 in London, with over £1 million in prize money up for grabs.
Here are the 11 players who have won most prize money in the last two years, before the Premier League denouement takes place.
