Mearns on spot to send Tynecastle through

WITH five goals, ten bookings, two red cards and heaps of chances, this Image Printers Cup tie didn't lack drama.

Tynecastle took the lead in the 19th minute, O'Hara converting a dangerous ball from Arthur. Four minutes before the break, Knight slotted home a second for the home side.

Two minutes later, Gretna pulled one back, Reilly latching on to a long ball and firing home from 20 yards.

Within seven minutes of the restart, he grabbed his second to take the tie into extra time. In extra time, Arthur and Cumarsky were sent off. With two minutes to go, Knight was upended in the box, enabling Mearns to net the penalty to clinch the tie.
