What’s the format of the Dunhill Links Championship 2026?

The Dunhill Links is actually two separate competitions in one.

First up is a simple individual tournament for 168 DP World Tour professionals taking place over four rounds.

Then there’s a Team Championship, where each professional paired with an amateur (including some famous faces). The amaturs receive a stroke allowance of two-thirds of their official handicap (a maximum of 18 for men and 24 for women). The team score is worked out by taking the lowest score from the amateur’s net score and the professional’s score at each hole.

All the teams place all three courses - St Andrews’ Old Course, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns over the firast three days, then the top 60 team (and ties) go on to complete for the title at St Andrews’ Old Course.

Can I watch the Dunhill Links Championship on television?

The tournament will be broadcast live on Sky Sports. If you are not a Sky subscriber you can watch it on NOW TV, with day passes starting from £14.99.
