It’s not long until the first match of the FIFA World Cup 2026 - Mexico v South Africa kicks-off on Thursday, June 11, at 8pm UK time.
That game will be followed by five weeks of football, with an incredible 104 games to be played, culminating in the final on Sunday, July 19.
Scotland will get their campaign underway against Haiti on Sunday, June 14, at 2am, as they play their first World Cup game since 1998.
That will be followed by games against Morroco and Brazil at the slightly less antisocial hour of 11pm.
While many will enjoy the games at home, there’s nothing like watching the football with a group of fellow fans.
Luckily, councils across Scotland have approved extended licences during the tournament, meaning there are a host of events planned to let Scottish fans cheer on their team as part of a crowd.
Here are 13 of the best fan zones and special events taking place across the country.
