SPFL star with nine caps scores spectacular goal from inside own half - '100 per cent meant it'
Defender nets with 60 yard free-kick as clip goes viral
A spectacular goal of the season contender has been scored in Scotland after a player found the net from inside his own half.
The stunning 60-yard free-kick came in the SPFL League Two match between Dumbarton and Elgin City at The Rock.
It arrived in the 64th minute and proved to be the match-winning strike as Dumbarton, who were bottom of the table before kick-off, upset the odds to defeat an Elgin team who began the day as league leaders.

The Sons were already leading thanks to an opener from Robbie Cleary in the 43rd minute.
It was the home side's second goal that left the 689 spectators stunned before going viral on social media with the clip generating tens of thousands of views.
Dumbarton defender Ali Omar was inside the centre circle - inside his own half - when he lined up to take a free-kick.
Rather than play a pass foward the nine-times capped Somalian international blasted the ball towards goal with his left foot and watched it sail over the head of goalkeeper Tom Ritchie into the back of the net to spark wild celebrations.
Speaking to club media afterwards, Omar insisted that it was “100 per cent” a deliberate shot rather than an overhit pass.
"I tried the same thing in one of the pre-season games and it never came off," the 26-year-old said.
"I saw the 'keeper out of his line and I thought, 'let me give it a go'.
"The boys are having a go at me saying you never meant it, but I 100 per cent meant it."
