Sky Sports in Hearts and Celtic title race decisions as TV picks reveal one game facing full match omission
Sky Sports have made their selections for the final week of the Premiership season.
Sky Sports will show two more matches in the Premiership title race - with a key clash omitted from a full game broadcast.
It’s officially down to just leaders Hearts and Celtic when it comes to who claims glory by May 16th after Old Firm victory for the defending champions. They clash in what could be an unprecedented final day shootout in six days time, but before that, the Jambos host Falkirk and Martin O’Neill’s team are at Motherwell. Hearts lead by a point and their meeting at Tynecastle against John McGlynn’s outfit will be broadcast by Sky.
A win there coupled with a Motherwell victory would see Derek McInnes’ side claim the top flight for the first time since 1960. The Steelmen versus Celtic will not be broadcast live in full alongside the Gorgie battle, however, with goals shown as they go in being offered.
Will Celtic vs Hearts be on TV?
Then all eyes turn to the Saturday showdown that will be shown on Sky regardless of what of the various permutations plays out midweek. Rangers meanwhile know they will finish third and neither of their games versus Hibs or Falkirk will be screened live.
Host Eilidh Barbour said on coverage of Celtic’s win over Rangers that closed the gap from four points to one: “We will bring you all the drama this week on this title race. On Wednesday we will be at Tynecastle as leaders Hearts play Falkirk. We will bring you all the goals as they happen from Fir Park as Motherwell host Celtic. Then, potentially, a final day shootout. Celtic against Hearts next Saturday to end what has been the most fascinating of seasons.”
Hearts drew 1-1 with Motherwell on Saturday night to allow Celtic a chance to put title destiny in their own hands, with the current leaders also in control of their own fate. Parkhead captain Callum McGregor said to the broadcaster: "Huge win, they all are, especially the home games. There's big expectations to go win the game and the manner we did was outstanding, considering the circumstances and the context of the season.

”The atmosphere in the stadium was something special. To win big games, you have to peak at the right time. The team is starting to look more like its usual self. It's about turning up and performing and making sure you win them. We started well, but you know Rangers are a threat on the counter. They have good ball carriers, a striker who is good on transition moments.
“We knew if we were too gung-ho, we would get picked off and that's what happened. It was a case of resetting. We had good momentum, got a goal at a good time and didn't really look back. It's in our hands. We just approach every game the same way we've always done, work as hard as we possibly can. We have to bring that to Wednesday night and that sets us up for the end of the week."
