The Scottish Premiership returns later this week after a two-month break, with the league starting at Tannadice this Friday as Dundee United host Rangers under the lights.
Last season saw one of the most exhilarating title races in the league’s modern history. However, despite Hearts pushing them all the way, it was Celtic who retained their crown for a fifth successive season, as two late strikes sealed a 3-1 final-day victory over the Jambos and kept the Scottish Premiership title in the east end of Glasgow.
Can Hearts challenge again under new manager Wouter Vrancken? Or will Rangers overtake them and become the main challengers under Derek McInnes? Despite losing head coach Jens Berthel Askou to Toulouse in the summer, Motherwell will be desperate to show last season’s fourth-place finish was no flash in the pan. Meanwhile, Hibs and Falkirk have designs on achieving another top-half finish.
It’s all set up to be another monumental top flight campaign, but where will each team finish come the end of the campaign? Here is where every team is predicted to finish in the Scottish Premiership table come May 2027*.
