'I don't know': Celtic and Rangers transfer target in the dark over long-term future
Defender has been a stand-out at Dens - and has plenty of suitors
Dundee defender Luke Graham says he is no clearer on where he will be playing his football next season amid speculation that both Celtic and Rangers are weighing up a bid this summer.
Graham, 22, has been one of the stand-out performers at Dens Park in the 2025/26 campaign and his contribution was highlighted this week by his nomination for the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award.
Graham’s Dundee contract runs until June 2027, but there is a growing expectation that he will be sold by the Tayside outfit this summer. Portsmouth had bids rejected for the Scotland Under-21 centre-back in January, while Celtic and Rangers have been linked in recent months. The Ibrox side’s interest is understood to be more intense.

“I’ve loved it at Dundee,” said Graham. “To be honest, I couldn’t give you a proper answer on where I envision myself next season. All I’m trying to do is focus on keeping Dundee in the league.
“A few of my mates have been texting me saying ‘where are you off to?’ and stuff like that but you just try to block it out and I think I did that really well in the January window, to keep focusing on my own game and not listen to the outside noise.”
Asked if he was aware of interest from specific clubs, Graham said: “No, really, I don’t know. I don’t want to get too involved in that while the season’s still ongoing so I really couldn’t tell you.”
Dundee suffered a 3-0 derby defeat at city rivals Dundee United on Sunday as they remained five points above Kilmarnock, who currently occupy the relegation play-off spot.
“It was a disappointing and frustrating day for us,” added Graham. “We just couldn’t really get a foothold in the game but as the manager said after the game, there’s no point dwelling on it now.
“There’s four games left in the season and we just need to move on to the next one and try and secure our safety as soon as possible.”
