Hearts land Hibs in Premier Sports Cup draw as Rangers face Aberdeen - when ties will be played

Last-four dates set at Hampden

Hearts and Hibs will meet in the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals after the Edinburgh pair were drawn together on Sunday.

After taking out lower-league opposition in Stenhousemuir and Ross County respectively over the weekend, the capital duo will face off in the second derby of the season at Hampden.

Hearts won the first clash with Hibs at Easter Road 3-1 earlier this month in the Premiership and are currently on a nine-game winning run.

Rangers’ reward for knocking out Celtic 3-0 earlier in the day is a Hampden date with Aberdeen, who overcame Kilmarnock on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

It means Rangers manager Derek McInnes will come up against one of his former clubs in the Dons, who the Gers defeated 1-0 earlier this season.

The ties will be played over the weekend of October 31/November 1 and will be screened live on Premier Sports.

The Premiership matches between Hibs and Dundee, Dundee United and Hearts and Rangers v Aberdeen scheduled for that weekend will be postponed and rearranged for a later date.
