Goalkeeper's horror debut, four penalty shoot-outs, 4-0 surprise result - Scottish Cup R4 round-up
All the details from a busy Saturday of Scottish Cup action
Kilmarnock goalkeeper Kelle Roos had a debut to forget as he and defender Robbie Deas gifted Dundee a stoppage-time winner in their 2-1 Scottish Cup fourth round tie at Rugby Park.
Roos joined Kilmarnock earlier in the week from Notts County and was immediately thrust into the starting XI. And it began well for Neil McCann’s side when Dom Thompson opened the scoring 11 minutes in.
However, Dundee - who have not won the cup since 1910 - rallied and levelled on 69 minutes through Ash Hay before Jack Thomspson was dismissed for Kille and Roos and Deas got in a real fankle for the visitors’ winner.

Roos and Deas both challenged for a looping cross into the penalty box and the ball spilled to Drey Wright, who fired home for a 91st-minute winner. The hosts ended the match with nine men after Lewis Mayo was sent off at the end.
That match was one of ten 3pm matches on Saturday, with the other half of Dundee also making it into the last 16.
Dundee United’s game against Ayr United at Tannadice had to pass a late pitch inspection due to one area of the pitch being waterlogged and they will have been glad for the go-ahead after winning 2-0 against the Championship side.
It took until the 77th minute for the Premiership side to break the deadlock thanks to Swedish hitman Nikolaj Moller and Pan Camara added a second one minute from the end.
Motherwell were also given a test by Championship opposition at Fir Park against Ross County, but a second-half strike from their in-form forward Tawanda Maswanhise gave them a 1-0 win on a day when Staggies boss Stuart Kettlewell returned to his former club.
The all-Premiership tie between Livingston and St Mirren went to penalties after a 1-1 draw at The Home of the Set Fare Arena. The Buddies took the lead through Roland Idowu but in a frantic beginning to the first half, debutant Scott Arfield levelled for Livi. That was to be the end of the scoring at the Buddies squeezed through 4-3 in the shootout.
Stenny run riot against Morton
One of the most eye-catching results of the day came at Ochilview, with League One leaders Stenhousemuir thrashing Morton 4-0. The Championship side, under the watch of new manager Ian Murray, fell well short of expectations as Gary Naysmith’s men moved into Sunday’s draw.
Nicky Jamieson put the hosts ahead on 39 minutes and Matthew Aitken added a second just before the break. Further goals from Gregor Buchanan and Aitken once more added the icing to Stenny’s cake.
Tony Watt netted twice for Partick Thistle as they overcame Montrose 3-1 at Firhill. Tommy North reduced the arrears five minutes from time but Ricco Diack settled matters in stoppage time. Both teams ended the game with ten men after red cards for Logan Chalmers and Terry Masson.
Non-league side Camelon Juniors lost 3-1 to League Two outfit Elgin City at Carmuirs Park. Kane Hester netted twice to put the Moray side into the last 16.
Three other ties went to penalties. At Central Park, Kelty Hearts and Cove Rangers drew 1-1, with Kelty prevailing 5-3 in the shootout. Spartans and Inverness Caledonian Thistle finished goalless after 120 minutes but the capital side won 4-2 from the spot, while Airdrieonians beat Arbroath 4-2 on penalties after a 3-3 draw at the Excelsior Stadium.
Earlier in the day, Dunfermline Athletic defeated Hibs 1-0 at East End Park - you can read about that match and the reaction here. Stranraer’s tie with Queen’s Park at Stair Park was postponed, while Hearts face Falkirk at 8pm on Saturday evening.
On Sunday, holders Aberdeen host Raith Rovers at Pittodrie and Celtic take on non-leaguers Auchinleck Talbot at Rugby Park.
On Friday night, Rangers became the first team to book their spot in the last 16 with a 5-0 win over Annan Athletic at Ibrox.
