Love it or loathe it, xG (expected goals) is becoming an increasingly prominent statistic in the modern game, with chance creation and data analysis proving a key indicator towards performances of teams such as Celtic, Rangers, Hearts and Hibs.
Used to measure the quality of a goal-scoring opportunity by quantifying the probability of a shot resulting in a goal, it gives each attempt at goal a value between 0 and 1, which is calculated based on factors like shot distance, angle, body part used, and the type of assist.
These xG values are used to then indicate an overall measure of how many goals they should have scored given the chances they've created. But which top-flight team is performing the best when it comes to xG?
Who is creating the most attacking threat compared to their rivals in the Scottish Premiership? And which side is making the most of the chances we create - and who is struggling to create chances, and/or finish them?
Here, we rank all 12 Scottish Premiership teams based on the xG performance - from 12-1.

5. Falkirk - 4.8
The newly-promoted outfit have one of the lower xGs in the division, but with five goals scored against an xG of 4.8, there can be few complaints about their finishing. | (Photo: Michael Gillen) Photo: Michael Gillen

6. St Mirren - 5.0
Focused on a fourth consecutive top-six finish, St Mirren have scored just four league goals so far this season, which is one below their xG of 5.0. Fans will hope the team create a little more in the weeks to come, and can be slightly more clinical in order to achieve their pre-season aims. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

7. Kilmarnock - 5.5
Still searching for their first win under new head coach Stuart Kettlewell, Killie have started their campaign with four draws and a narrow defeat to Celtic. Fans are right to feel positive though, based on the fact that they are performing well in front of goal. They have seven goals against an xG of 5.5. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

8. Rangers - 5.6
A worrying stat for under-pressure Rangers boss Russell Martin, his team are creating considerably less than their rivals Celtic, Hibs and Hearts and are failing to take the chances they do. They've scored just three goals this season, which is below their xG of 5.6. | Gabriel Kuchta Photo: Gabriel Kuchta
