An enthralling league campaign takes a backseat this weekend, as the Scottish Cup reaches the semi-final stage with four sides ready to battle it out to secure a place in the May 23 final at Hampden Park.
Beginning with a clash between rivals Falkirk and Dunfermline Athletic on Saturday, the Pars are hoping to become the first second-tier side to win the trophy since Hibs in 2016, while John McGlynn’s side are looking to reach their first Scottish Cup final in 11 years.
The all-Premiership final between Celtic and St Mirren takes place a day later, as Martin O’Neill’s side looks to enact revenge for the Premier Sports Cup final defeat in December. But will they be facing second-tier Dunfermline or top-six rivals Falkirk in the final?
Here, we look at the last 8 Championship sides to make it to a Scottish Cup final:

5. 2008: Queen of the South
A hotly contested finals against Rangers saw the Doonhamers come out on the wrong end of a 3-2 scoreline in 2008. Two goals in two minutes from Steve Tosh and Jim Thomson had levelled the scores early in the second-half, only for Kris Boyd to notch a 71st minute winner for Rangers. | SNS Group 0141 221 3602

6. 2006: Gretna
Gretna are the last third-tier side to reach a Scottish Cup final, with their fairy-tale story peaking when they clashed with Hearts in 2006. Ryan McGuffie scored a 76th-minute goal to level the tie at 1-1 at Hampden, but the Anvils would be heartbroken when Craig Gordon saved from Derek Townsley in the shootout, before Gavin Skelton smashed his effort off the bar, sending the cup to Tynecastle. | SNS Group 0141 221 3602

7. 1997: Falkirk
Their third addition to this list, Falkirk, were Scottish Cup finalists against Kilmarnock in 1997, losing 1-0 at Hampden thanks to a goal from Paul Wright in the 20th minute. | SNS Group 0141 221 3602

8. 1995: Airdrieonians
A ninth minute goal from Pierre van Hooijdonk saw the original Airdrieonians narrowly beaten 1-0 by Celtic at Hampden on their last cup final appearance. | SNS Group 0141 221 3602
