Scotland have finished third in Nations League Group A1 following a gripping 2-1 win away at Poland.
Steve Clarke’s men will now face a relegation play-off in March next year against one of the second-placed sides from Group B and will either be second or third seeds for the World Cup draw next month.
Scotland took the lead just three minutes into the encounter at PGE Narodowy when Billy Gilmour cut the Polish defence open with an excellent pass to Ben Doak, who in turn fed John McGinn to side-foot calmly for the opener.
Both teams fashioned plenty of chances in an action-packed, entertaining game - but it was Poland who found the net next on 59 minutes. The ball was worked out to right-back Kamil Piatkowski and he arrowed it high past Craig Gordon for the leveller.
Captain Andy Robertson, however, had the final say for Scotland in stoppage time as he bulleted in a header to give the Scots a big win.

9. Scott McTominay
Was denied by the legs of Lukasz Skorupski and had a shot deflected on to the post in a busy first half. Got much more involved in the attacking play than against the Croats. Appeared to pick up a foot injury just after the hour-mark and soldiered on until the 75th minute, when he hobbled off for Ryan Gauld. 6.5 | PA

10. John McGinn
Held his nerve to sweep home the opener with his right foot - his 20th for Scotland, taking him clear of Ally McCoist in the goal stakes. Was always willing to take the ball and have a go at the Poles. So nearly created a second goal with a low cross that was cleared. One of Scotland's driving forces. 8 | PA

11. Lyndon Dykes
Enjoyed a physical battle with Poland's defenders. Lashed a shot wide in the first half. Denied what would have been an excellent headed goal by a flying Lukasz Skorupski save on 65 minutes. Replaced by Lawrence Shankland a moment later. Decent shift. 6 | PA

12. Scotland substitutes
Lawrence Shankland and Ryan Christle came on just after the hour mark. No tangible chance came Shankland's way, while Christie was booked not long after his introduction. Ryan Gauld was introduced as a No 10 on 76 minutes alongside Nicky Devlin. Stuart Armstrong appeared very late. | PA
