Rangers v Slavia Prague: Is it on TV, kick-off time, online stream, who to watch, form guide, Europa League odds
It’s unusual for Rangers to go seven days without a game this season – but that’s exactly how long will have passed by the time their second leg tie with Slavia Prague in the Europa League last 16 kicks off.
Thursday night’s match follows the first leg last Thursday where the sides played out a 1-1 draw in the Czech capital but with a week to prepare and a place in the quarter finals at stake – it promises to be a big night under the lights at Ibrox with the aggregate score finely poised at 1-1
Here’s all you need to know ahead of Thursday’s game.
Match details
Who: Rangers v Slavia Prague

Opposition Form

Two undefeated sides domestically could not be beaten when the sides clashed last week at the Sinobo Stadium.
Rangers’ record remained with no game at the weekend but Slavia added another win – 3-1 against Mlada Boleslav. Slavia, also won an astonishing 10-3 earlier this month shortly after a 2-0 success over Leicester City at the Kingpower Stadium.
Slavia have lost on the road this season though to Bayer Leverkusen, FC Midjtyland and Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
Who to Watch

Abdallah Dipo Sima had a quieter than usual game against Rangers last week – but still had the chance to show his capabilities. Man to watch last week was Romanian midfielder Nicolae Stanciu – the 27-year-old who is close friends with international team-mate Ianis Hagi. He opened the scoring last week but Slavia showed their threat across the pitch last week.
They’re a bit more concerned about the state of the Ibrox pitch at the moment with the lockdown and then amount of football and rain on the surface taking its toll recently.
Previous Meetings
Until last week Rangers had never faced Slavia Prague – only city rivals Sparta and Dukla. They had also never scored on Czech soil until Fillip Helander tapped in from close range.
Allan McGregor’s wonder-save at the end of last week’s match ensured there was not another defeat registered and the record books were righted.
