Steven Gerrard's side overturned a 2-0 deficit at Ibrox in the first leg to take a 3-2 aggregate into the second leg in Portugal, with Ryan Kent's strike at the Estadio Municipal de Braga ensuring the Gers would be in the hat for the next round.

Among the teams Rangers could have drawn were Basel of Switzerland; Italian sides Roma and Inter Milan; Spanish outfits Getafe and Sevilla; Celtic conquerors Copenhagen; English Premier League sides Wolves and Manchester United; Olympiacos of Greece; Shakthar Donetsk of Ukraine; Austria pair LASK and Red Bull Salzburg; Turkish Super Lig side Istanbul Basaksehir and Leverkusen's Bundesliga rivals Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolfsburg.
