Scotland star's post-deadline transfer on brink of collapse due to 'financial issues with Rangers'
Defender was due to depart Ibrox but deal now hangs in balance
Rangers defender John Souttar's proposed move to Greece is on the brink of collapse.
The Scotland international looked set for an Ibrox exit after agreeing a three-year contract with Aris Thessaloniki.
The Scottish transfer window has closed but Aris can still sign players due to the Greek window remaining open until September 15.

However, the deal now hangs in the balance amid reports that the 29-year-old has not reach a financial settlement with Rangers over the remaining months of his contract.
Souttar has not played a single minute for Derek McInnes this season and has been told he has no future at the club, despite signing a contract extension in February until the end of the current season with the option of a further 12 months.
An Aris spokesman told Greek media: "While we had found everything, the footballer has financial issues with Rangers.
"After negotiations, they did not find an agreement in the end, so everything indicates that he will remain with the Scottish team.
"At the same time, a final effort is being made to overturn the facts.”
Rangers boss McInnes admitted earlier this week that he expected the out-of-favour centre-back to move on.
He said: “I spoke to John this morning, he trained. There's a bit of interest in him from one or two clubs, one club maybe a bit further down the line than the other.
“But I think it's something that could develop but I don't think it's at that stage yet but maybe something will happen over the next two or three days."
