Rangers will look to register their first win of the season when they welcome St Mirren in the Premier Sports Cup second round at Ibrox on Sunday (kick-off: 4pm).
The Derek McInnes era has had a disastrous start, with their new head coach yet to win any of his first four competitive games. Their woes continued in midweek as they crashed out of the Europa League at the qualification stage, losing 3-2 on aggregate to Jagiellonia on Thursday night.
It’s a wholly different scenario for their visitors, St Mirren, though. Two wins from their opening two games have them sitting pretty in second position in the Scottish Premiership. The current Premier Sports Cup champions will be hoping to keep their run going as they take on a beleaguered Rangers outfit.
