Celtic battled back from two goals down against Rangers as the Glasgow giants drew 2-2 at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.
So often, man for the big occasion in big games this season, Portuguese striker Youssef Chermiti had a first-half to remember as his acrobatic effort opened the scoring after eight minutes, before he capitalised on an error from Julian Araujo to tap home his second on 26 minutes.
Martin O’Neill’s men roared back, though, and reduced the deficit when Kieran Tierney nodded home from close range just ten minutes in the second-half, before Reo Hatate scored a last-minute equaliser when he tapped home from close range after seeing Jack Butland save his penalty.
The result does little for either side in the context of the title race, with Rangers now trailing league leaders Hearts by six points, whereas Celtic, eight points off the pace, have a game in hand.
Here’s how The Scotsman rated the performance of each player as Rangers and Celtic played out a pulsating 2-2 draw at Ibrox.

Cross for the opening goal was excellent. Battled well defensively, and stuck to the task in the second-half as the momentum swung. A more encouraging performance after a lukewarm opening few weeks. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

19. Youssef Chermiti (Rangers) - 8
First-half he was a memory maker with an outstanding opener and cheeky second, but wasn't at the races in the second-half. Enigma. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

Left feeding off scraps as Rangers dominated the early stages, switched position at the break still didn't get involved enough. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group
