Rangers confirm new arrival as former manager set for sensational return to dugout
Set-piece coach comes in at Ibrox from Lincoln
Rangers have added set-piece specialist Scott Fry to their coaching staff.
The Ibrox club announced on Tuesday morning that Fry, 47, will be part of head coach Danny Rohl’s senior staff after arriving from Lincoln City.
Rohl joined Rangers last month and while he appointed fellow Germans Sascha Lense and Matthias Kaltenbach as his assistants, he made it clear that he wanted to make further additions - including a coach with experience of the Scottish game.

Fry immediately links up with Rangers and will be part of the coaching staff for Saturday’s Premiership match at home to Livingston.
A statement from the club read: “Rangers Football Club can today confirm the appointment of Scott Fry to the men’s first-team coaching staff. The set-piece coach has joined Danny Röhl’s backroom team ahead of the return of the Scottish Premiership this weekend.
“Fry arrives from Lincoln City, where he played a major role in their strong record from set plays. Last season, Lincoln scored 30 goals from set-pieces, the most in League One. His appointment follows a detailed recruitment process that analysed teams across the UK and Europe who consistently outperformed in their set-plays, with Head Coach Röhl heavily involved throughout.”
Meanwhile, former Rangers head coach Philippe Clement is set to return to management - nine months on from his Ibrox departure.
Clement, 51, was sacked by Rangers back in February and has been out of the dugout since. However, reports south of the border claim that the Belgian has beaten the likes on Jon Dahl Tomasson and Gary O’Neil to the Carrow Road vacancy and has arrived in East Anglia to rubber-stamp his move.
Norwich City, who are currently second bottom in the English Championship, parted company with manager Liam Manning earlier this month.
