Rangers captain James Tavernier to miss Ibrox farewell after storming out before Hibs match
Skipper posted missing for farewell match at Ibrox
James Tavernier has not been named in the Rangers squad for what was due to be his farewell match after storming out of Ibrox.
The captain was expected to play against Hibs in the Scottish Premiership on Tuesday night for his final goodbye to supporters after announcing last month that he would be departing the club this summer after 11 years service.
However, The Scotsman understands that Tavernier withdrew from the squad after learning he would not be in the starting XI and could now have already played his last game for the club.

Tavernier did return, however, and take to the pitch dressed in suit and tie for a pre-match presentation, conducted by club legend John Greig, before taking the acclaim of the crowd.
The 34-year-old right-back has scored 144 goals in 565 appearances since joining Gers from Wigan in 2015. He won one league title, one Scottish Cup and one League Cup during his time with Rangers, and also led the club to a Europa League final in Seville.
Rangers boss Danny Rohl has made two changes from the 3-1 defeat by Celtic on Sunday with Tavernier and Tochi Chukwuani dropping out for Dujon Sterling and Thelo Aasgaard. Tavernier was due to be named among the substitutes before withdrawing from the squad.
