Why have Rangers signed Vanja Dragojevic?

Manager Derek McInnes said of the move: “We are really excited to bring Vanja on board. He's got huge potential, really exciting attributes, and boasts the character to play in this environment. To captain a club the size of FK Partizan at such a young age tells you everything you need to know about the respect he commands and the leadership qualities he already possesses. I believe he will add a lot to our group, and I look forward to working with him in the years ahead."

Dragojevic has revealed that Rangers interested first emerged three months ago and the attraction over a move to the Premiership was instant. The club begin their league campaign against Dundee United next week. Their new recruit added: "It feels amazing, and I'm really happy and proud to be part of such a big club like Rangers.

Why has Vanja Dragojevic signed for Rangers?

"It's a big opportunity, and I can't wait to get started. I first heard [the interest] three months ago, and when I heard it I already knew it was very interesting to me because I think the winning mentality that Rangers have is compatible with my mentality."

The midfielder added on leaving his homeland: "Everything I have become as a footballer, I owe largely to Partizan. From the boy who took his first footballing steps in black and white to the captain who had the honour of leading this club – every moment has been special and will remain in my heart forever. Thank you for all the memories, lessons, friendships, and emotions that I will carry with me throughout my life. I may be leaving, but a part of me will always remain in Humska. I love you, Partizan!"
