Rangers experienced another turnover during the summer transfer, as former head coach Russell Martin allowed a host of players to depart Ibrox as he reshaped his struggling squad.
Hamza Igamane, Cyriel Dessers, and Vaclav Cerny all left for pastures new in pre-season. However, Martin was unable to revive the club’s fortunes in the early throws of the campaign and found himself sacked after just one win in his opening seven league games in charge of the club.
Long-serving players such as Leon Balogun, Tom Lawrence, and Ianis Hagi also waved goodbye to the Glasgow giants upon the expiry of their contracts in the summer. Many of the club’s youngsters went out to gain valuable experience on loan.
Here we look at the 22 Rangers players who moved away from the club before the start of the new campaign, and assess how they have done for their new teams in the first half of the season. Who has found success away from Ibrox - and who regrets their decision to leave?

17. Cyriel Dessers - Panathinaikos
Scorer of 52 Rangers goals during his two-season stay at Ibrox, the Nigerian striker started like a train in Greece, scoring two goals in his first two starts. A foot injury curtailed his progress, though, and he's scored just once since. Currently away at AFCON with his national side. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

18. Leon King - Ayr United (loan)
The versatile 21-year-old has been a regular in the Scottish Championship, and notched his first senior goal in Ayr's 3-2 win over Dunfermline Athletic just before Christmas. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

19. Paul Nsio - Raith Rovers (loan)
It took the 19-year-old midfielder a little while to get going at Stark's Park, but he's started five of Raith's last eight league games, and he'll hope to add more senior minutes to his tally come the end of the campaign. | EDDIE DOIG Photo: EDDIE DOIG

20. Robin Propper - FC Twente
The big Dutch defender didn’t hit the heights expected of him after his summer switch from the Netherlands and was a huge disappointment. He made a swift return to FC Twente after just one season at Ibrox. Has seemingly fitted back into John van den Brom's defence, and is a regular starter for a side that currently occupies seventh position in the league. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
