Celtic welcome fierce rivals Rangers for the first time this season as the two sides do battle in the crucial Scottish Premiership clash at Parkhead this Saturday (kick-off: 12.30pm).
Just three points separate the sides going into the clash following Celtic’s 2-0 defeat at Motherwell in midweek. The third defeat in new head coach Wilfried Nancy’s first five games in charge of the club, a loss in this weekend’s derby feels almost non-negotiable for the Frenchman.
On the opposite side of Glasgow, things are looking up for Danny Rohl and his Rangers charges following back-to-back wins over Motherwell and St Mirren in the last week. However, a win on enemy territory would really up the ante at Ibrox and boost hopes they can provide a genuine title challenge.
Ahead of the game at Parkhead, The Scotsman has all the latest team news:

9. Nedim Bajrami - Rangers - OUT
Had managed to regain his spot in the Rangers starting XI, only to be struck down with a hamstring injury in the 3-0 win over Kilmarnock. Expected back next month, but this weekend is expected to come a little too soon for him to return. | Andrew Milligan Photo: Andrew Milligan

10. Julian Araujo - CELTIC - DEBUT?

11. Connor Barron - Rangers - RETURN TO STARTING XI?
One of Rangers' most consistent performers this season, he started on the bench in the midweek win over St Mirren, but will be hoping he gets handed a recall for this weekend's Old Firm derby at Parkhead. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

12. Nasser Djiga - Rangers - ON INTERNATIONAL DUTY
The on-loan defender will miss the game against Celtic due to being called up to the Burkina Faso squad for the AFCON. With qualification to the knockouts almost secured, Djiga could be absent for a couple of more weeks in January, depending on his nation's progress. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group
