The hosts are without several first-team players as Nir Bitton and Hatem Abd Elhamed will both miss the game after testing positive for Covid-19, while Ryan Christie is still in self-isolation.
There is a chance Odsonne Edouard will return after his positive test, though he’s not due back from France until Friday at the earliest. The striker’s health will dictate whether he’s involved. James Forrest is another absence as he misses out through injury.
But Rangers don’t have their injury problems to seek themselves. Nikola Katic is definitely out, while Filip Helander, Kemar Roofe and Joe Aribo are serious doubts.
There is also the trouble with Alfredo Morelos having to travel back from South America having represented Colombia.
Here’s how we think Steven Gerrard will set his team up:

9. AMR - Ianis Hagi
The game may come too soon for Aribo, while putting Arfield in the front three may leave the team short on creativity, so Hagi should get the nod. Photo: SNS Group

10. FC - Alfredo Morelos
The Colombian may come back late from international duty but, barring any missed flights, he'll go right into the starting XI. Photo: Alan Harvey - SNS Group

11. AML - Ryan Kent
The attacker has taken his performance up a notch this season and will be expected to be a real threat to Celtic in this encounter. Photo: Rob Casey - SNS Group
