Steven Gerrard had made four changes to the starting line-up after the win over Galatasaray with Steven Davis, Filip Helander, Ianis Hagi and Alan McGregor sitting out after the midweek win, and there was a noticeable dip from the Europa League high to this SPFL Premiership victory.
Here’s how David Oliver rated the performances of the XI and the substitutes at Ibrox this afternoon.

5. Tavernier - 8
Still clearly buzzing from his midweek performance and Player of the Month award, he was rarely troubled defensively and was pressing high. Composed as usual from the penalty spot. Photo: Alan Harvey - SNS Group

6. Glen Kamara - 6
Ground it out in a midfield with Harry Paton who showed up well but kept his cool to mop up as he so often does. Dependable again without excelling, but few did. Photo: Alan Harvey - SNS Group

7. Ryan Jack - 6
Back in the team after good 15 minute appearance midweek on return from injury. A little slack in the second half and wasn't punished but still off his usual influential pace but didn't do much wrong otherwise. Photo: Rob Casey - SNS Group

8. Jordan Jones - 6
Restored to the first team after blazing back into contention at Motherwell last weekend, his direct running was utilised in the first half although it couldn't bring about a goal. Quieter in the second half when lack of football perhaps began to creep up on him. Eventually replaced by goalscorer Barker. Photo: Ian MacNicol
