Rangers captain James Tavernier has confirmed he will be bringing down the curtain on his Ibrox career after 11 years with the club.
Tavernier, 34, leaves Rangers having won every domestic honour in Scotland, while his contribution during the club’s run to the Europa League final in 2022 has become part of Ibrox folklore. Officially the highest scoring defender in British football history, he’s bagged 144 goals in 562 appearances for the club since arriving from Wigan Athletic in 2015.
Just one point behind league leaders Hearts, the experienced defender will be hoping he still has time to add one further trophy to his collection before he departs for pastures new in the summer, as Rangers look to leapfrog their Tynecastle rivals over the next five games.
A player who has been the source of some debate over the years, we look at how several of Tavernier’s former teammates and ex-Rangers stars reacted to the news of his upcoming departure.

"Incredible service to the club, drive the boys and make sure you get the send off you deserve." | SNS Group

4. John Lundstram
"One of the best. Never hid in the hard times, and delivered at the biggest times. Absolute legend." | SNS Group
