Rangers want ex-England international Joleon Lescott - reports
Rangers are attempting to sign former England international Joleon Lescott, according to the Scottish Sun.
The 34-year-old has a year left on his contract at Aston Villa but has been demoted to the reserves and is thought to be available on a free transfer.
Mark Warburton is interested in bringing the veteran to Ibrox as he looks to strengthen the Rangers defence.
Lescott has 26 caps for England and was once the subject of a £22 million transfer when he moved from Everton to Manchester City.
Another ex-English Premier League centre back, Phillipe Senderos, is currently on trial with the club, while strike Joe Garner is close to arriving from Preston after a fee was agreed in principle.
